The dispatch room as 32 Writeline consoles. 24 positions are designated for radio/telephone positions and 8 are calltaker, telephone only. The 24 dispatch consoles are ergonomic and allow individual height adjustments to the keyboard and work surfaces, from a seated to a standing position. The calltaker console have a fixed work surface height with an adjustable keyboard surface. All positions have individual ventilation systems, task lighting and foot warmers.
The Motorola Elite Gold radio consoles allow any position to be loaded with what ever service is needed. The system is designed to allow any position to load any "screen" which defines what talk groups/conventional channels are available to the dispatcher.

The two fire consoles have the same capabilities and the two dispatchers work together to cover the six 800Mhz fire regions and any of the Event talkgroups that may be in operation on an incident.
2 EMS Consoles Both EMS consoles are identical but in normal operations one position will handle all dispatch respoinsibilities while the second position works the Hail talk group handling inroute/arrival information as well as hospital notification.
The Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) consoles provide for a dedicated medical calltaker position if needed. Or can be used as additional radio/phone positions in the event of major incident
Calltaker consoles have only CAD and Telephone capabilities. All 911 calls are directed to one of these positions first The call taker takes the information and enters a request for service into the CAD computer which automatically directs it to the proper dispatch position(s) for dispatch to field personel.
