It is the intention and purpose of the Division of Emergency Medical Services to maintain an effective and efficient emergency medical services system which is accessible on a uniform basis, to all residents of, and visitors to, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
The Division of EMS further intends that residents and visitors to this county should have prompt and unimpeded access to basic and advanced life support medical care throughout this county.
Furthermore, in conjunction with the Department of Public Safety, the Division will provide programs of public education, information and prevention in the system's service area, taking into account the needs of visitors to, and residents of, Montgomery County to know and easily access the means of obtaining emergency medical services.
