09/28/2005 Decision made to start pilot East Fire unit switchover on 10/11/2005
09/25/2005 System software/firmware upgrade to latest SmartZone Version.
08/08/2005 Coverage acceptance testing began on East system.
07/22/2005 Antenna upgrades completed at Mermaid Lane site.
06/06/2005 West System Fire Unit Cutover @ 09:00
05/24/2005 Antenna upgrades completed at Gladwyne site.  Training for west fire begins.
05/18/2005 Plymouth site on the air. All 10 sites now on-line in the east.
05/09/2005 Programming started for west fire company radios.
04/23/2005 Plans announced to begin putting West fire units on system. Read it in Public Safety News.
03/07/2005 Construction began on Plymouth site.
02/02/2005 Lankenau Hospital Site on the air.
01/10/2005 Equipment moved to Lankenau Hospital site.
12/16/2004 2 Additional channels added to East System.
12/14/2004 Redundant Prime Site controllers put on-line on East System.

OLD SYSTEM TURNED OFF - ALL UNITS NOW ON SMARTZONE SYSTEM.
Preliminary 500 Mhz Data system design review.
11/30/2004 Mermaid Lane Site upgraded to SmartZone Site.
10/15/2004 Gladwyne Site upgraded to SmartZone Site.
  Construction started on Lankenau Hospital Site.
08/05/2004 Lower Moreland Site On-Line on East SmartZone System.
07/28/2004 Upper Merion Site On-Line on East SmartZone System.
07/19/2004 Channel Bank upgrade at Eagleville to bring on additional new east sites.
06/03/2004 Upper Gwynedd site switched to new West System. All of North Central units now on new  system. North Central and Region 3 turned OFF in old system.  Horsham, Ambler and Lower Gwynedd using new East system.
06/02/04 4th Channel moved from SmartNet to East SmartZone System.
05/21/2004 Burn Brae, Wissahickon & Horsham sites on line for testing as new "East" system.
05/12/2004 3 Channels taken out of old SmartNet system to start bringing new East sites of the SmartZone system on line.
04/05/2004 02:00 Old system channel banks upgraded to support new system. ALL secure communications on old system no longer function.  
NorthWest and Secure talk groups turned OFF in old system.
03/31/2004 Tylersport on-line on new system. All NorthWest Units on New System.
03/29/2004 Tylersport site taken off-line to be upgraded to new system.
03/26/2004 Hatfield Site on line.
03/25/2004 SouthWest and Region 2 talk groups turned OFF in old system.
03/15/2004 Ringing Hill Site Switched from old to New System. All remaining SouthWest Zone Police/EMS Units and several more NorthWest Departments now operating on new system. 
01/27/2004 Sassamansville Site on line.
  Upper Perk Police department moved to new system.
12/12/2003 Adams Road Site On Line.
10/30/2003 Pilot System turned on with Collegeville, Upper Providence and Royersford police departments. Using Eagleville and Geriatric towers only.
07/18/2003 Geriatric Center Site On Line.
07/14/2003 Eagleville "West" System On Line.
03/27/2003 Started Console upgrade at Eagleville. Changing from single CEB Centracom Gold Elite to an Embassy CEB. Also added 2 additional operator positions.
12/30/2002 Fixed equipment arrives @ Eagleville.
  Contract signed with Motorola to enhance existing 7 site SmartNet system to 20 site SmartZone system.
03/20/2002 Resolution pasted by commissioners to accept Motorola's proposal to enhance 800Mhz radio system.
