Municipal Planning Information

PA Title 35 states that each municipality shall prepare maintain and keep current a disaster emergency management plan for the prevention and minimization of injury and damage caused by disaster, prompt and effective response to disaster and disaster emergency relief and recovery in consonance with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Plan.

Below is the basic municipal emergency operations plan from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency. This plan and included checklists can be used as a municipality's plan or as an enhancement to an existing plan in order to be compliant with PA Title 35.
